Towing Receiver to Frame Plates?
« on: December 28, 2022, 05:40:28 PM »
I removed the towing receiver from my '87 Suburban V20 a few years ago to drop the fuel tank. I seem to have lost the thick plates with the threaded holes that go on the top of the frame for the receiver bolts to go through. Does anyone know if you can buy those someplace or even what they are actually called. I think I have a photo of the one I didn't lose. I'll try to find it to post here. But basically they are just steel plates with threaded bolt holes. I'm having a really hard time trying to find anything like it for sale online. Thanks!

Found a picture of one of them. I believe I would need 4 total.

Cut 4 out of some plate and if you can't tap them get longer grade 8 hardware and use locking nuts.
