I got rid of the driving lights under the bumper.  They are hella 550 comet Driving lights.

When I had halogens, I had them wired in to come on with the high beams, and they were aimed upwards and outwards for more ditch vision.  Back Then They helped.   Now they do nothing...lol

I think I had a writeup on here at one time about this back in the day but photobucket destroyed it when they broke the internet years ago.

Nice post Chevyrado, very informative and motivating!

I have anemic lights on my '78, will check out the part numbers you cite.

Thanks!

As an aside, while your post got a few view/reads, there appears to be a serious lack of activity on this board.

Can't point directly to the reason, but it is noticeable.

Everyone's on tiktok and such and a lot of the younger guys like keeping secrets to themselves to look cooler.  They don't share every find like we do so more Squarebodys guys can succeed.  They keep it to themselves to seem like some kind of sage that finally found out something a lot of guys knew for 50 years.  makes em look cooler to people that don;t know any better.

I miss the old days on here.  If it was me...  The second I found out something new to me, I posted it because I wanted each and every one of you to know what I found out and fix your trucks like i did mine.  I never hid anything for likes or whatever .  Thats gone now, newer kiddos with squares (not all of them) keep it to themselves like magicians to impress people that know less than they do and get massive likes and comments for the algorythim.

The other reason I posted this was because I had helly lots of write ups in the past when I rebuilt my truck.  And write ups slow everything down immensely...  but i did it for my fellow square guys.  The problem was I used photobucket, and when they went pay I couldn't afford it at the time so I lost everything.  Nowadays I'da been able to afford it and would have kept my account up just for this site.  but its gone now.  all my write ups are blank of pics.

I can't say enough about these hella lenses.  And they look stock.  My main problem with newer led lights is they don't look stock.  my truck looks very stock except the wheels.  These look wonderful when they're off during the day and work wonderful at night.
