You may already know this; the NV4500 mated to LS engines was available from the factory in Chevrolet/GMC trucks up to 2006. On your NV4500, what year or make did you get?
Thanks, Jason! I did not know that. I knew they had them mated to diesel engines in like 2003-2006 but not and LS. I haven't ever seen one so I wasn't sure.

I haven't ever seen one so I wasn't sure. I have a 2005 Chevrolet 2500 4x4 with a 6.0L and NV4500 that I bought new. We were in New Mexico at the time, the dealer had one on the lot (just one) - we were going to test drive it and someone from Arizona came in and bought it... So I searched for another which I found at a dealer near Abilene, Texas. Based on the specs, I bought it sight unseen and had it brought in to New Mexico. If I hadn't found that truck, I would've had to special order one. They weren't real common, but I have seen a few other early to mid- 2000's with a gas engine and NV-4500. Not to divert this too much, but... I think even rarer is the 8.1L mated to the 6-speed NV5600. Engineer (member here) has one and I've seen a few U.S. Forest Service trucks with that setup, but overall pretty rare.
