-
Sounds respectable to me. ;D
-
Sounds pretty good to me, your looking at about mid 13s in the 1/4 mile
-
^ No kidding. I'd like my truck to do anything in the 13s!
-
I'm impressed, but I also have a truck that would likely do low to mid 20's in the 1/4 @ 50mph. ;D
-
tghoward, good time, its so fun going to the track.
I would like to take mine to the track to see what it will do. 383 stroker (500ish hp), 3 speed reverse manual(3000 stall), 4:56 gears with 295/60/15. 81 shortbox 2 wheel drive.

thanks for the responses never been a big truck guy as far as drag racing goes. figured i would give it a try since i was racing an 88 rs camaro not a fan of that body style lol gonna put the fuel cell, both mallory pumps , and the complete autorod wiring harness for everything out of my camaro gonna put my nos plate on also 175 here i come again lol. ;D

Campcrf, how do you get that thing to hook up with that much power and that much gear?
-
SUX2BU99, I am not sure yet... lol... I am going to keep my 373's in it for now and run it at the track and see if i like it. Its still a one wheel burner. Everything is done except for the rear end.... I am hopeing the 456 isnt too low (i already bought them and ordered a truetrrac). Street slicks might work. Any suggestions?...
-
I've never had a vehicle with that kind of power before but in my opinion, you'd want probably a drag radial of some kind that you can use on the street and some Cal-trac bars for the leafs to make sure they put the power down to the ground.
-
ya, cal-tracs should do the trick aswell i am hopeing, we will see...
Thanks!!!!

finally got the truck back to the track put the holley 600 dbl pumper on and the 175 pills in best 60 ft was a 1.554 and best pass was 7.61 in the eighth mile last pass destroyed the rear u joint but was leaving really hard may try to shoot 225 next :)
-
That's a pretty decent 60ft time. ;)
-
Your 60 ft time was pretty good for not too much suspension work.
-
yeah it has no suspension work it has the stock 5 or 6 leaf rear springs old shocks and all truck was hooking real hard all night hooked a lil to hard last pass at least we had a blast messing with people last night no one expected it to leave that good lol
-
Did you put the 4.56 gears in & a posi/spool or is that still with the 3.73's?
-
still with the 3.73 havent changed anything except adding the gas and the holley
