1985 K5 Blazer: Added another one to the stable
« on: March 09, 2009, 11:09:04 PM »
I picked up a 1985 Chevy K5 4x4 Blazer this weeked.  The paint job was not a key selling point, but I did get a 87 Donor with running 350TBI/700R4.

K5s RULE!!!!! :D
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

That's a regular K5 not a military blazer.

Sweet! What's your plans?

Suhweet! I like it.

Someone might draw a bead on you driving on 20th street, though. ;D

You going to turn it into a convertable?

I got 2 trucks that will run for $1800.  The other one is a northern rust bucket but it will run.  I could push the body off the frame.
Plans are to fix the spongy brakes and probably rebuild or replace the carb immediately.

Plans are to convert it to a fulltop with a new window frame and fulltop I am getting.  I am also really wanting to get a 6.2L Diesel to convert it.

See above, fix it to be reliable and do a fulltop conversion on it.
