Thanks. I rebuilt one seat yesterday. Definitely better as a rainy day project. I kept feeling guilty the whole time because I wanted to take the girls swimming but we settled on a night swim instead which was nice. The seat was trashed, bent, had broken springs and the frame was cracked in two places. I reinforced everything and welded it all back to a solid and straight frame, then I painted it before replacing the foam.

I got the covers from stock interiors. Took a few months to get them.

No, I just had them make the covers. You have to use your medallions, seat foams etc. Seat foams were around $275 each but seem to be back in stock now so the prices probably came down a few bucks. The covers were around $650

I hooked up the amp and speaker box so I could be that guy jammin down the road. My girls absolutely love riding in this thing. On the way home, we took the long way and drove around for another 20 minutes just so they could keep smiling  8)

So nice when a project comes together.

When my son turned 16 I gave him my '55 Apache.

Worked on it for months putting in a modern front end and power train.

He still has it, man that was almost 30 years ago  :o
