Sorry for the late reply but it's been a busy year. First I want to say thanks for the compliments from all of you. This truck isn't going to be one of those super sano builds but I have a vision of what I want it to be when it's done. The 582 was built using a World products block with an Ohio crank crankshaft and rods, diamond pistons, and total seal rings. It's a 4.600" bore with a 4.375 stroke.

When I drive it I can certainly tell it's a big bad engine. My goal was to be able to retain the power steering and a/c and still have big performance.  Here' a pic of the engine on the stand in the build up process. It takes some time to build an engine like this because of the mock up and clearence checking required including custom pushrods and modifying the guide plates to properly locate the rockers over the valve stems.

Here's a video of it idling. I have some more vidoes of it but am not real good at the editing thing. Also some pics of the engine and under carriage of the not yet finished drivetrain at the time. More to come when I get the chance. Thanks

I had a 505 in it briefly and it did excellent burnouts then. Now it'll do it at any speed pretty much. I've got a little bit of a traction problem even with the M/T et streets on it. I just ordered one of those go pro hd cameras so I should have some video of it soon with the 582 in it.

Sweet truck! I really like how you ran your exhaust. Never seen the mufflers outside the frame rails like that. Impressive

The crossmember is made from roll bar tubing and some flat steel stock. I bent it in my pipe bender that I use to make exhaust systems.

It completely ruined a set of mickey t et streets 31x16.5 which are about 12 inches wide. I put a set of 32x17.5s on that are basically a set of 14x32 slicks with a couple of little tread lines in them. It's never really gotten traction but here a small vid of it actually getting some down in my parking lot after some serious tire heating. Here's a link to a youtube video of it.

Very nice truck, please tell me you don't drive that beast everyday, you must own a gas station if you do.

Yeah it is real hard on gas. I think I ran something like $200 in gas through it the first week on the road just riding around in it.
