New wheels and tires
« on: April 25, 2014, 10:01:57 PM »
Just purchased new tires and wheels. 17x8 Ridler 695's with 275/60-17 on the rear and 235/60-17 on the front. Also installed new ball joints, poly control arm bushings, 2 1/2" drop spindles and new stock coil spring with 3/4 of a coil cut. PO had just heated up the coil spring to lower it. He also did a lowering shackle and raised the original hanger in the rear. I might try a lowering hanger to get the rear down a little more.

That truck looks really good how it is sitting.  Though I gotta say, I have never been a fan of the black hoods, for some reason it takes away from the overall look of the truck in my opinion, but hey that is just my opinion.

bake74, I painted the hood black because the paint was getting pretty thin, someday I hope to get it repainted. here is a side shot, that shows the back end is a little high. I put enough money into it for know, so I think I will leave it be. Although work just  called and I might have to go into work tomorrow to help replace a mainline conveyor, a little overtime helps to pay for some goodies.

From the side shot you can really tell the difference between the front and rear tire size.
