here's my 1978 chevy k20 ongoing three year project, the pic i have is a little old.  truck is small block 406,split transfers(205/203), lockers, caged, 456's . hopefully trying to get this finished & painted by the end of summer, so i can at least drive it once.

Sweet ride man... doubler case is nice to have also.  406 ought to give enough torque.  Mine has a 305 with firebird pistons, ported heads, and a big crane cam, I do not know the exact specs, except that it idles rough at 1200 and will not run under 1000 and it hits 3000 and absolutely launches (did in the 327 it came out of.... poor 305 s gonna cry!)  Good luck man, enjoy your ride as much as you can.
