1985 K10..
« on: November 24, 2007, 10:39:21 PM »
New here on the forums, heres my 1985 K10 I got a few months ago. Its got a tired old 305 and 700r4/np208 in it. Just about everything is stock except for the flowmasters..Took it out in some light mud for the first time to check out the 4wd and got stuck ;D, Realized the auto hubs were toast so I replaced those with some manual milemarkers. Works great now!
Future plans include:
small 1-3 inch lift
33 inch tires
swap the old 305 for a crate 350
new sound system/ walmart el cheapo 10 inch subs sound worse than dads stock radio ;)
rebuild front end/ its shot
Body work and new paint
And thats pretty much all I can think of for now..Have a few questions though, Do yall think with a 1 inch lift it would clear 33's? I was thinking about getting some ORD 1 inch zero rates for the lift..http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/Zero%20Rates.htm
One other question..How can I find out what gears I have? Thanks. Here she is..

Really nice truck you got there, I don't see much in the way of body work needed, unless its a surface beauty..

thanks, it needs just a little body work, the pics tend to hide the bad stuff. The hood has some pretty good hail damage along with the roof and the paint on both of those is a very dull black, almost like primer..Its also got a little rust in the usual places..I think the previous owner painted just painted over the rust. Other than that its in pretty good shape, been taken care of etc. It needs a new interior but thats nothin..

Looks like an old truck I used to have. Do you know your wheels are mismatched?
