Sorry for the lack of updates here but my life has been so different from when I started all of these projects.

The tailgate should be all done tomorrow if I get in the garage. We'll see. I'm heading to Wyoming Thursday for work so that should be interesting and hopefully fun.

I really would love to keep the green Blazer so I've done very little with that. The engine is just sitting there growing dust and the Blazer is sitting there out of gas. I hate to sell it but ya never know. The 83 will probably get a for sale sign when I'm done.

Driveline is all in and I put the clear meatball cover on. I wasn't sure if I'd like it but it's cool. Tomorrow I plan on running the fuel lines and brake lines. Exhaust is coated and ready to hang. I have to put the sway bar on and then I can plop the bed and cab back on. Can't wait to have it not hogging my entire garage!

Nice enough to give most trucks an inferiority complex. Great to see it moving along so well.

Don't know how long it will stay clear, but I like the cover!  Put some led's in there so it lights up!

I had clear top valve covers on my 84 K5 and being exposed to the extreme temp changes as well as combustion they held up nicely so I'm not too concerned about it. I could illuminate it but that's going a bit far showing off my rear end don't ya think?  ;D

Update:

Mocking up the battery box, switch and cables. Once I finish building the basic wiring harness and get the exhaust situated I'm going to start plopping the body back on

Forgot to mention, I'm using a remote jump start B+ terminal stealth just in case the batt goes dead. I'm using a drop out box for the battery but that would be a PITA to lay on the ground to have to jump start.

Got any clearance shots for frame and ground on the headers?
