Ok update* don't wanna talk about exgirlfriends in here* Trying to keep this a positive thing.

I decided to pull the dash pad as I found an NOS dash pad and had my tach mounted on the dash. Now it will be in the gauges.

eBay. That's why I jumped on it. My other one is mint, just has the hole where the tach is mounted. I'll save it for another project I guess.

Thanks! Yes, they are tweed dyed black. This truck is like Darth Vader, BLACK

And like Vader, with attitude!  ;D  That is one sweet ride, Vile!

Thank you! I ordered a bunch of obscure parts for it last night.

Chris, can you shoot me a price on the prindle gauge set-up for the dakota gauges?

I have done a ton of stuff to it recently and just bought a new digital camera. As soon as I get a memory card for it I'll take some more pics and post them.

The front and rear glass and interior cab is nude minus the steering column. I am considering one piece door windows now for it too. I am having my door panels custom covered to match the seats and redoing the headliner. I'm psyched the way everything is turning out this time around. When I last restored it, I didn't go through everything 100% as you will see with a few pics. The truck was originally baby blue with white. When I removed the windshield (without breaking it I might ad lol) you can see the baby blue and white still. I'll try to get pix up soon.

Thank you! I hate doing finish body work though. ie sanding and bondo. I don't mind metal fab, and painting but that middle part I hate and having 3 going at the same time is burning me out.

Well work on 1 and take a break on the other 2 then when you feel ambitious get on one of the other and then take a break on the 74.Remember rome wasnt built in a day and a great show truck wasnt built in a week either.  ::)

thanks
pat
p.s. look at me i got the stepside and the dodge and the cougar.I havent touched the stepside in almost 5 months now.i been so busy with work, getting the cougar done and tonight i just sanded the entire inside of my bed and hand sanded all the edges of the ribs and featheredged the sides of the bed where the paint was down to the basecoat. I`m gonna use the dupli color bed coating and on the sides where i sanded.I am not spending 600.00 on a bed coating where i can fo it for 50.00 ya know?  8)

I've never had good luck with that stuff holding up. You might want to reconsider and do something else
