1987 1 ton
« on: August 03, 2008, 02:02:45 PM »
i purchased a 1987 gmc 1 ton 4 wheel drive dually for $1000.00 about a month ago. The truck has only 82,000 miles on it but was in need of alot of repair. The former owner had only used it in the winter to plow and sand. I removed the cab and body and blasted the frame. i then found 2 spots on the frame that needed to be repaired. I cut out the two pieces and welded in the new pieces. I'm now in the middle of removing the rearend and blasting it. i blasted it today and por 15 the rearend and the frame

the plans for this truck is to redo everything i want a dependable trruck that i can get fire wood for myself with. I almost purchased a newer mason dump but relized that i dont belong in a new rounded truck. so with that said i am gonna put a stake pocket flatbed dump on it and a plow and use it for a couple driveways and for my wood. When this project is done i am gonna find a c10 and do a frame off resto mod to it
