Having hard time finding master window switch pigtail
« on: August 19, 2013, 06:12:18 PM »
Needing a replacement pigtail harness end to splice onto my '86 driver's door harness. None of the local yards to me have it and can't get it new.

If anyone can point me in the right direction or has one to sell I'd appreciate it.

Thanks a ton. PT188 and PT546 look close in pics, my dealer shows PT546 in stock so I'll know tomorrow. He says PT188 isn't a good number.

Just got it. GM part #12125634

Thanks again. Kinda funny I found this at the same dealer that told me it was obsolete LOL

Most likely due to the inexperienced guy I got. There are other guys there more knowledgable and most likely would have known about the connector page. I have a similar book for ford connectors that lists by terminal count and shows pics.

Usually guys like that can't be bothered to waste their time helping you out even if they could. Glad it worked out for you.

I have an automotive shop and spend 800-1000 a month with them, so they do help me out a lot. It's just that they were Pontiac/GMC/Buick and when they lost the Pontiac line, the parts manager and the other knowledgable parts guy brought in a Harley parts and repair cneter into the dealership and spend most of their time with that, then brought a newbie over from their big truck dealership to work the counter so he has years to go yet. A lot of times I'll just ask for one of the other guys if I know it's going to be difficult, but didn't expect a repair end to be so hard to find lol

Tried to add pics in the member's rides section, but it tells me that my file size is too large. Not a computer guru.

Here's a link to a thread I started on oldminibikes.com about the truck: http://www.oldminibikes.com/forum/off-topic-discussion/84236-just-finished-4-year-resto-shop-truck.html
