I am looking for info on the wiring for the lock up solenoid circuit on my trans. This is installed in an 81 GMC 1/2t 4x4,305-4bbl.
There is one wire coming from the vac switch on the fire wall which then goes through the transmission case and to one side of the solenoid. The other wire from the solenoid goes to a one terminal on a pressure switch on the valve body. There are two spade terminals on this pressure switch and the other has nothing on it.Is this terminal supposed to be grounded?

Yes. The sister site to this one,73-87.com had a write-up on a torque converter switch . It was by Mike Ervin, who originally owned the site.
