Thanks VZ! Mr. Diesel, I think you are correct in that the only difference is the HV has a slightly larger or different impeller in it.

I am beginning to think I should have bought a complete engine fully dressed with all accessories. It would have been about the same price or perhaps less expensive. Buying a short block and completing it really costs.

Thanks for the info.

I have not experienced any problems getting dups made. I go to a locksmith and they have always had blanks. To get the blank and cut the key they charge about $5.00.

Reposting below comments in this thread because I somehow had created them in the wrong thread elsewhere (maybe I shouldn't surf the forums on my little phone screen).

Google search 12v electrical cut-off switches for anti-theft. Lots of options I think. They are a bit of a nuisance to use, but so is having your truck stolen.
Here is a handy one with remotes too. Maybe wire it into ignition.

Is there anywhere on the forum with a pdf of the 1976 users handbook, the little glovebox book?

Thanks

The stock water pump circulating the coolant is what you need. Let the cooling system do its job as designed. Until the thermostat opens you are circulating it through the bypass circuit. If you wanted to increase cooling capacity use the big block radiator. What would you gain with (high volume) ?

You are better off with an alarm system that has a tracker, audible alarm and ignition system disable.
