Title: NP205 Shift Rails
Post by: bigben5054 on January 20, 2019, 10:41:46 AM
I am rebuilding the NP205 out of my 1979 K20.  Previous owner must have been hard on it because the shift rails are bent and beat up.  I have found a set a guy is willing to sell me, but they are from a NP205 out of a Ford.  Anyone know whether they are interchangeable?  It’s online, so I can’t compare them side by side.

Well...seems the Ford shift rails are listed separately from the GM ones, so they are likely different.  Here is a link to a sight with some fairly inexpensive used rails: https://www.quad4x4.com/catalog/category/New_Process_NP205_Parts#cat_257
