lots of wires
« on: November 29, 2005, 02:43:00 PM »
any idea as to what wires i can remove?  my '86 (stock v6) now with '84 305 has wires i'm sure i don't need anymore.  i see all sorts of modded cars/trucks with like 2 or 5 wires in it and it runs fine.  any links to where i can remove wires or wiring diagrams?  grazi.

Without knowing what you started with and what all you added it would be hard to say what you can remove.  From the sounds of it, you have put a computer controlled setup in an older pickup.

The Haynes books usually have the wiring diagrams in them.  You can always check eBay for wiring diagrams.  Only by comparing the wires to the diagrams can you consider whether they are needed or not.  Have a digital camera?  Can take pics and post here of the wire in question.
