1980 K20 to K30 swap: brakes??
« on: February 22, 2017, 10:10:53 PM »
So I have an 1980 K20 and I'm buying a set of diffs to make it a dually K30. My truck has a corporate 10 front diff, so does anyone know if I could take my brake calipers off the 10 bolt diff and they'd mount to the Dana 60 diff I'm getting? I can get brakes if I need too but I'm doing this on a limited budget so any help would be great guys 😊

a 10 bolt and a D60 are not remotely similar, Nothing swaps.

nope as capt said theyre not even close. with the 10 bolt you have two caliper pins to allow the caliper to slide on. the dana 60 has a spring and key. its a good idea anyway to do the dana 60s brakes/sping and key and rebuild king pin bushings
