ignition coil wires
« on: October 30, 2014, 05:03:40 PM »
Hi, I have an 88 Suburban with a 454 TBI. I just finished putting new gaskets on the top end (TB, intake and valvecovers). The only thing left to reconnect is the coil wires. I am at a total loss as to where the one unplugged is supposed to go. I don't see any extra wires anywhere. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Coil negative primary tap for tachometer signal.  Generally, if you don't have a tach, that pigtail doesn't connect to anything.

In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!
