A shocking question.

Real original subject line huh? My question is I'm going to install 2" lift blocks in the rear of my 87 Suburban to fix the saggy rear end problem they have. Will I need those special shocks for a lifted suspension?

If you raise your truck 2" you will extend your stock shocks 2".  This gives you 2" less travel on the axle.  It increases the chance of your shocks hitting full travel and being destroyed.  A lot of it depends on your driving habbits.  If you stay on the street where your shocks never see full travel you may be ok.  If you off road, I would change them.

CHANGE THE SHOCKS

I added three inches to the back of my C10 and used the stock lenght shocks.  Had a friend tell me that it was ok (don't ask him advise anymore).  Well even only on the street it was bad.

It destroyed the shocks and in turns I always lost traction.

Do yourself a favor and get longer ones.
