Title: 73 Step-side SWB w Step Bumper Hitch
Post by: mattevandavis on October 14, 2018, 09:07:28 AM
I'm looking for options for a receiver hitch for my 73 step-side short bed that has a step bumper and the HD springs (56").  I see that I can add a receiver that bolts on to the bumper, but I'd like something that can bolt to the frame for a bit more capacity.

Does anyone know of a product that will work in this application?

Thanks.

I got 1 from Uhaul for my 81 stepside.  It cleared my Lund roll pan (which I hate, it screams "I was built in the 90's).  It should clear a factory bumper, that's what it was made for.  I will try to dig up the part # next weekend.

I contacted e-trailer.  They said they had a hitch that would work on a short bed step side with HD springs.  Looks like they were wrong.

Back to the drawing board.

The make one that will fit and catch the bolt hole, forward of the rear shackle.  I have seen them
