Dont know how i missed the post but better late than never? Im Nick Savage, 22, from Kentucky. Been married since december 21st, no kids, not even in the works! Very small quiet town here. Im a manager at a fast food restraunt (yeah it sucks but at least im one of the bosses) I own a 79 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton, 4 Spd manual with the bulldog gear, np 205 t-case, wore out 4 in lift, 35 in thornbirds. The engine is a rebuilt 350, ive got an Edelbrock performer intake i still gotta install. She needs paint and some rust is comming through the rear fenders, but for a 79 with the original metal thats pretty good! the interior was completely re-upholstered by the previous owner in lavendar tweed, and a deep purple vinyl dash, custom 6x9 enclosures in the cab corners and custom speakers in the doors. I just put in a X-plod cd player, and plan on putting my 12's in as soon as i get a box. Hopefully this truck will get a new paint job, and run some 38 in tires, or i may buy another truck since this one is so clean inside... I also play drums in a metal band, ride my 2000 425 Polaris 4x4 that loves to pull out my buddies yamaha, i fish almost daily. nice site!

My name is Jeff. I am an attorney in Houston and am married with a three month old, so my time out in the garage working on the truck has recently been cut in half. But I plan on rebounding soon.

I joined this group when I bought a '79 3/4 ton in January of this year. I appreciate all the help and advice, though as time goes on, I feel like I know less and less. Hopefully that will change. I have always been drawn to these trucks since I first learned to drive at age 9 on the truck at my grandfather's ranch--a '78 Silverado Big 10.

Hey, I'm Brent.  32 and Married.  I live in CA.  I am an Aircraft Maintenance Tech.  and build/restore Mustangs.  P-51 that is, not Ford.  My daily driver is a '77 Silvarado K10 with:7" lift, 35" BFG's on rock crawler steel wheels, 383 stroker w/Eddelbrock top end and MSD HEI and Multi spark ign.  Headers and flowmaster exhaust.  I had a custom paint job until about a year ago when other drivers began taking turns running into while I was parked.  So, my truck is now blue, black, and grey.  I just started the body work this week, so, before to long it should be...green.

Well jeeze, I may be the old fart of the list.  Name is Carroll (male) and I'm 55, married, three kids, three grands with a fourth on the way, live in Columbia, SC.

I have a very cherry red/white '87 FS Blazer 305 Auto 4X4 that has been restored and a white '90 FS Jimmy 350 Auto 4X4 which was a work truck model and is in the process of being restored.  The '87 was a local truck from SC and the '90 came from Oklahoma.  Neither has a speck of rust (eat your hearts out Yanks..HA!) although the OK truck has all the rubber parts mostly dried out and needing replaced.

I am retired from a career as a Television Engineer.  My trucks work for a living, taking me surf fishing on the shores of the Outer Banks of North Carolina several times a year.  The 80-91 FS Blazer/Jimmy is the best sand crawler ever made.
