Suspension - Static Drop
« on: July 12, 2019, 10:56:56 AM »
Hello all!

I have an '82 SWB stepside that I'm looking to drop.  I want to use 15x8 ralleyes up front and 15x8s or 15x10s out back.  I've read a number stories from folks that grinding on suspension components may be necessary for clearance.  Has anyone had experience with parts that work with these rims without modifying the suspension components?  Thanks in advance... 8)

You may need to clearance the LCA's or run a spacer depending on the wheel backspacing.

I have Western Chassis drop spindles on my 77. 15x7 aswell as 15x8 factory rally wheels both cleared no problem. But from what I have read that isnt a solid fact for every single truck. Like Vile said, it depends on the backspacing
