Title: 230 to sbc swap question.
Post by: 1976Scottsdale on December 10, 2005, 12:50:00 AM
Figured I ought to start my own here.  I am swapping a 230 engine out of a 1966 Chevrolet C-10 for a 350 small block.  Figure wiring would be different, but that is not part of what I have to do.  I was wondering what needed to be changed in terms of the bellhousing and motor mounts.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All the I6's in 230-up sizes have the same bellhousing as a SBC.  Techically you can remove one and install the other.  I think (if memory serves me correctly) that the motor mounts will have to move for the V8 to sit in the cradle.
