I have a 73 chevy short bed with a 383 stroker and a granny geared 4 speed. I want to put a corvette T56 tranny in its place. the motor is a 1987 I'm almost sure. Has anyone attempted this? I really need to know the flywheel thickness.

yes, I do some racing.  I think I'm might get a richmond 6 speed, so I do not have to add hydrolics.
