I HAVE AN 85 CHEVY C-20 LWB PICKUP THAT I AM WANTING TO CONVERT TO A SWB. I DONT WANNA PURCHASE A SHORT BED, I WANNA CONVERT MY LONGBED. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I SHOULD MAKE MY CUT(S). SHOULD I JUST CUT IN FRONT OF THE WHEEL OPENING OR DO I NEED TO REMOVE SOME FROM THE REAR SECTION AS WELL? AND DOES ANYONE KNOW APPROX. HOW MUCH I SHOULD TAKE OUT? THANKS A LOT

You are going to have to cut the bed twice, once in front of the wheel well and once behind it. It is going to be a pain as there is a taper involved in the rear. It would be much simpler to find a donor SWB bed.

i recently choped a bed for a guy on a 67 and initially it took about an hour to cut no big deal but reworkin gthe quarter panels to make them flow without a gallon of bondo took much much longer i wouldnt recomend it
