Black Smoke?
« on: November 14, 2006, 04:47:00 PM »
When I floor my 73 with a 454, black smoke will poor out of the exhaust? What is causing this?

And my radiator hose is sometimes sucked in or has extreme pressure. Is that caused by my radiator cap?

Thanks

Black smoke is a rich condition.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Poor fuel milage. Foul plugs. carbon buildup.
