1978 chevy 1/2 ton, 355
The 1st engine I built for this truck used the same short block, with lightly ported 882's, weiand 8004, 266 cam dynamics cam, and a stock convertor. It ran 16.06@89.45 burning the tires 40' out of the hole.
My 86 GMC 1/2 ton, 357
ran mid 16's on a side road strip. no traction problems.
stock 882's, RV cam, 8004 intake.
Traction is nice. but why can other 350 powered trucks burn the tires?
I can't burn um and I can't figure out why.
Is it my 600cfm edelbrock carb stopping my truck from makeing more torque?
