Nice, did you buy new bumpers or just repaint? And what are you going to run for flooring?

New bumpers and brackets, painted base coat clear coat. The floor will be carpeted once the interior is ready for installation.
The glass is all new and the side windows and vents are the green tint glass. The power windows are relay controlled and work great. I have all of the interior parts ready to go and am looking forward to getting to that point as I am sick of doing body work. I will be putting in a drop down navigation bluetooth unit with backup camera in the highliner yet I'll be putting the factory radio in the dash just for looks.
I had to repaint my woman's hood on her Jeep because the town took the cheap way out and chip sealed the roads again. Cracked the paint on the hood, cracked her windshield and got tar all over the body.
So anyway, I painted that while I did the bumpers to kill two birds.

Well, at the time of my post it was 90 out. 40 now, typical new england.
Also, i think that big swap meet at stafford speedway is coming up? You going? I remember you complained it stunk last time.

I did? lol I've been going to the swamp meet since I was 16, it's always the same but sometimes you get lucky and find a deal or two but it's mostly junk. If the weather is nice I might go. I closed the pool this weekend, so not looking forward to the cold weather.

Ha! Speaking of cold weather...FROST! Im sickened. However, nice cozy little garage in the background, in a week or two, ill tuck her in for a long winters nap. A little pack gravel around the front and sides will give a nice natural ramp. Id love to do re-claimed asphalt or millings, but costly.

It's only money
Got the back glass in tonight, new slider and gasket. My buddy took the excavator to go bury a horse so I had to do other things including work on the truck

dang sir that is nice! I wish I had half the knowledge and talent to do this to my truck. question for you. when mounting the bed did you egg out the holes in the frame to move the bed closer to the cab? your gap looks smaller than mine. yours looks awesome!

Thanks. One thing I hate is sloppy body lines, they just irk me. As a general rule, I do drill the frame holes larger for the body & bed mounts to allow for more adjustment. Even through years of service and fatigue you'll be lucky if everything lines up the way you like it. The best way to ensure the body will be straight is to start from the front with the front bumper mounted to align the cab and then work your way back.

Before you do the carpet
I'd recommend dynamat or something like it
We used FatMat and it really cut out the road noise
Kinda pricy We used $220 worth to do the firewall floor and back of cab but the noise reduction was amazing

I actually used secondskin and I like that it does not have the tin foil backing. It's black backing is useful in areas where you may have small gaps. I used fat mat in my 74 and 85 and you could catch a peep of the shiny stuff in the corners at the right angle.
I got the new windshield gasket installed last night so I'll be putting the windshield in soon...
