Title: Oil pan gasket replacement

85 GMC K20 oil pan gasket
Just got truck back from having a majority of seals and gaskets replaced. Had to take it back because the valve covers were leaking. apparently the cork gaskets they put in were to thin so they replaced with thicker ones. Now oil pan gasket is leaking which is also cork. why wouldn't they just go with a better material like the pine piece  Fel-Pro makes. Not even sure if they put a bead of silicone. What do you feel is the proper oil pan gasket and installation process for this truck. Cork or better gasket with silicone?

Which gasket depends on whether the engine has a one-piece or two-piece rear main seal.
