I tried to order a performer rpm air gap oval porrt with polished finish and waited months and finally cancelled the order. Why? Because they were still waiting for them to come in. lol So much for that made in USA sticker they were putting on their manifolds.

You obviously misunderstood, Vile.  The sticker is made in the USA, the manifold is cast with pride in China.  :D

Well I figured I bought a quality cam and lifter set with my CompCams Xtreme 268 and will still feel like that.....unless something goes wrong   lol    Nothing against Summitt either. It's an incredible value and Summitt wouldn't want their own name dragged down by bad product.  Probably the biggest favor you can do for yourself is using a good oil with higher levels of ZDDP (or zinc for short) for long lobe life. Roller cams have no worry, but popular modern car oils are not helpful to hydraulic or solid tappet life. Do a search for "oil" on here. There's a couple threads about it.
85 Chevy Silverado C10 short, wide, yellow, 2wd. Lowered, 60-over 350 with Dart Iron Eagle heads and Comp Cams XE268 cam, TH350 w/ shift kit, 3.40 Gov-lok 12 bolt.
