Title: Uninstall Old Trailer Brake Controller
Post by: jsc on July 30, 2019, 06:25:48 AM: When I bought my '83 C10 4 years ago, it came with (what looks to be) a Kelsey Hays trailer brake controller. Funny thing is, I don't even have a trailer hitch, and I don't think I'll EVER have need of trailer brakes.

So how can I uninstall it?

Post by: zieg85 on July 30, 2019, 08:57:39 AM: If it is all electronic just cut the wires and take it out. If it is the one that hooks in the fluid line you just take it out. If you don't touch the brake pedal you shouldn't have to bleed the brakes.

The ones I have seen uses a T style fitting. The straight through (top of the T) is the same threads. You can take that T out and hook the brake line back up to the master. Post a picture and I can tell you for sure.
