how hard would it be to fit the chevy bench bucket fm an 03 04 to an 83

Measure the width and compare to the stock one.  You'll need to make brackets to mount it.

bench bucket eh?? factory bench seating to the 03-04 bucket seats you mean? not very hard. if you have a welder and a cut off tool and the ability to mentally fabricate something before you start its easy. all the materials I needed were some flat stock for tabs, and about 10ft of 1.5 square tubing. ran it accross the slider tracks, notched the tube so it was recessed, laid out the seat bottom, made some tabs to mount the seat bottom to the base. I hacked up the seat back mounting point and welded it to the square tubing. In my case I could not use the seat back locking mechinism, it rests on the back windows weather stripping.
Its been fine for almost 1 year now.
