Engine identification
« on: February 18, 2021, 03:12:19 PM »
Hi all, I know my engine is not the original but out of interest I thought I'd try to find where it came from, the numbers on the block pad on the front of the engine are as follows:-
V1025AWK
1KL135356
The first as far as I can determine comes out as Flint plant October 25th 1989 from a L98 Firebird?

The partial VIN has me puzzled though as it doesn't seem to be in the right format?

Anybody got any theories?

Thanks
Graham

There is a 8 digit casting on the block right behind the driver side head, near the firewall.

That will tell you what it came out of.

Thanks JP, I'll take a look if the wind drops below 50 mph!
