New 1985 Diesel K20
« on: March 04, 2017, 10:52:17 PM »
Just picked up my first Suburban, the owner said the transmission was slipping but that isn't a big deal.  I also thought all 3/4 tons had the TH400 but this is a factory Th700r4.  Here are a couple pictures.

nice burb, i think the 700r4 was to help with mpgs. the burb isnt a big weight hauler like a truck would be with a goose neck so its gvwr wouldnt need a th400. but on a side note, what is that contraption thats towing the burb?

I love it, the interior isn't as nice as a GM or Ford, but it hauls what I need it to.

has all the power you need?

EDIT

V8 - 5.6-liter DOHC 32-valve
375 hp @ 5,800 rpm
387 lb-ft of torque @ 4,000 rpm
not too shabby

Yep but they don't offer it in a diesel yet, or 4wd.  To do a 4wd conversion is $13000, so I traded a generator and $200 for the 4x4 diesel suburban to make up for it!
