Title: underbody of std. cab
Post by: markzepp820 on March 20, 2006, 06:05:00 PM
Does anyone have any pictures of the underside of a std. cab. I would like to see how everything is together,(floor supports, inner rockers, floor pans, ect...) most of the underside of my truck is rusted away. I saw the photos of the underside body on here, but its hard to see it, and how its all together. So, any close ups would be awsome. Thank you

Could check with Roundedline or 123pugsy, they're both in the middle of off frame resto's.

You are quite the fabricator pugsy!!!  I can't get over how well your truck turned out.  If I had the time and energy (and no 15 month old) boy, what i would love to do w/ my ole 79.

As far a pics go of the cab, hopefully you can find a slavage yard, or, best yet, you have to have someone in your neighborhood who has a chevy truck from 73-87.

There are a couple of recent threads on those repairs with good pics. I believe they were within the last few months. I didn't replace cab corners or rockers so I don't have any pics of those repairs.

It's a shame Pugsy can't do stainless steel repair panels :(

Although, I am waiting for him to complete his header project so he can make me a set ;)
