running lights wire location
« on: December 11, 2011, 10:06:00 PM »
I am having a problem with my running lights. Meaning they don't work on the rear. Both left and right with the tag light. Brake lights work. I am looking to see if some one knows where the main junction is that connects the front lights to the rear lights.

Truck is a 83 k20 long bed

The rear running light circuit is spliced to the front running lights on the inside of the cab behind the fuse block at a bulkhead connector pin.

Ckt 9 - The brown (running lights) wire generally runs the left framerail to a bulkhead plug dedicated to the rear lamps, then into the cab to the headlamp switch and then to the fuse block.  It often shares a multi-wire loom with one light green (back-up), one dark green (left turn/brake) & one yellow (right turn/brake) wires.

Have you already checked the bulbs and fuses?
