As it turns out when the previous owner dropped a different motor in the truck he reused the accessories from the original motor, therefore making the pump a '77 and not from the 198? motor I have in the truck. A huge thanks to my friend Ryan for figuring that out, and thanks to everyone else for the tips!  ;D

Just figured I would put up a pic of the '77 power steering pump to show the difference, its the same pump as an early '80's just turned counter clockwise a bit.
