Need help with backspacing and wheel size
« on: February 20, 2018, 10:47:24 AM »
I have searched the web for hours and I am more confused then ever so sorry if this is a repeat question but I know every truck is unique so thats why I have to ask...

I have a 82 c10 lowered 3/5 with half of rap cut off front springs I currently have 15" rims and looking to go up to 17" I would like to have the largest lip possible on rear and just standard 8" wheel up front and either 9.5" or 10" wheel in the rear.

Current wheels 15"x8.5" on 265/50/15 and it does not tuck but its close so I would like to keep it close to the same stance until I can go air ride.

What do you mean the largest lip? Backspacing is dependent on width so you need to decide on the width you want first. Are you trying to say you want a wide wheel that will fit inside the wheel well?

yes sir that is correct some on the wheels I am looking at only come in 9.5" and others in a 10" so I am wanting them to fit in the wheel well without rubbing but give a deep dish look.

So measure from the face of your brake drum and drop a plum bob on both sides from wherever you want the wheel to end. That measurement will allow you to formulate the backspacing you want. Measure both sides.
