Fan shroud
« on: October 06, 2016, 08:59:10 PM »
Hello,
I have a 1979 C10 custom deluxe with a 250 L6. I have a lead on an 87 Gmc 2500 with a 350 for parts. I was wondering of the fan shroud will fit on my 79 because I'm planning on putting in a sbc. Also, my truck has no power brakes but they are front disk. What would I need off the other truck besides the booster to convert it over ?
Thanks,
Bill

the fan shroud should fit in there , thats easy to modify tho if it doesnt
The brakes : you will need the proportioning valve and the booster

The proportioning valve you have should be fine just going with a power booster.  The master cylinder is different and you'll have to adjust your brake light switch as it will be closer to the floor.
