1981 k10 lift block questions
« on: November 09, 2018, 11:03:10 AM »
hello,

I have a 1981 chevy k10 swb. I was going to restore it but the engine caught on fire so now its mostly just used as a mud truck.  I would like to get it registered so I can drive it on back roads.  I was told that its safe to 2 in run blocks on the front end as long as I weld them to the axle to prevent alxe roll. I plan on adding ladder/traction bars also. What is the general opinion of this?

just to add the reason its safe to use the zero rates is because they bolt to your old leafs. so its pretty much like adding another leaf but it has no rating so the ride is still the same as before
