Hazards won't stay on

76 Chevy Stepside C10 ...When I push my hazards button on the column they only stay on for a few flashes then it pops out on its own.

It's difficult to know just how much you don't know until you know it.
In other words... if people learn by making mistakes, by now I should know just about everything!!!

     The switch is probably worn as bd stated, at least take it off and look at it.
#1: The easiest and most obvious solution to any problem is 99% of the time correct.
