I run 10w30 VR1... a lot of time and effort.as you guys would know...pretty sure there are a lot of things I cant think of right now but its coming together..  future plans include Caltracs, TrueTrac, 20x8/10 wheels, not sure on paint color (was already painted burnt orange when I bought it), maybe change cam to more aggressive..

LSX, look good... What gauges do you have in the dash? Also what header/manifold do you have?

Manchu, made any progress on the build. I'm especially curious about headers or manifold selection as well as the 4L80 to N208 adapter... Did you ever settle on one? I plan on having the same drive train when I get my hands on a 4l80 to put behind this 6.0...
 Currently, 6.0L LQ4 from 03 Denali
Dirty Ding mount
Pots Per. Dbc throttle body for the 700r4

Plans: 4l80E, cam, headers and in time twin hair driers!! Can't wait.

Schoenfeld Headers  1302LS1  fit perfect with no mod, really close on passenger side frame rail but not touching.. painted them with ceramic header paint about 6 mos ago..

At first they looked like shorties but now more like mid possibly long tube. Can you post a pic of how far the collector comes down the frame and possibly a measurement from the wheel well?

Just looked them up and a review posted an '87 K5 swap with no issues so I'd imagine my 4x4 set up would be close if not identical...?

I will take more pics when I get home... im not sure where your tcase comes into play on the front.. only issue I had was the original bung hole for the AF sensor was in line with gear selector..had to move bung hole back a few inches.. the 1302LS1 are full length long tubes...love the sound at high rpm...

Anyone else have to move the transmission forward ?

We pulled the 350 and the LS hits the firewall about an inch and a half before it hits the bell housing

the mounts i used put the rear of the ls in the same spot as the sbc, had to move the both the 4l70e and nv4500 forward about 1-2" from where the th400 was at. but easily had enough room to pull and install both trans with no problems with the motor mounted
