Title: New Member - Restoring My 81K10

New member, although I have visited and read posts on this site for quite awhile. I bought an 81 K10 back in 86 when I use to live in Colorado. Over the last year I have been tearing is down and rebuilding it from the ground up.

Thanks for the Welcome! I am going to attach the side view of my truck as seen in the avitar and my cab that is in work. I had to work on the photos to get them down to the size limit.

I had a topper on my truck that I removed with a cart I made similiar to the one in the side picture that was used for the bed.

Thought I would add one more picture tonight. I actually stripped my whole chassis, cleaned, pre prepped, and KBS Rust sealed, then Chassis TopCoat. Whole new brake system with stainless steel lines and new fuel system being installed also stainless steel lines. As can be seen the new tanks have not yet been installed. After this Picture I stripped everything out of my cab (I mean everything to include wiring) - was not the plan when I started. This all began because I had rust in my gas tanks and my fuel system. However, I have new bushings (Prothane's polyurethane) installed for the cab and radiator support. The bolts were a pain and will provide picture later of what I did. No rust out around the front windshield. However, there is around the rear window (cutting it out and welding in new metal from a junk yard truck) and the firewall had some rust I had to cut out and weld in metal I fabricated since I could not find any replacement patch panels. Guess I will start a thread in the building area since this is the Welcome area - I am sorry for the rant.

Thanks DanMcG, Appreciate it! It has a few problems and started to fix them. However, before I knew it I was breaking my truck down and have removed about every part as I found things to fix. Picture of the interior of my stripped down truck. Hope to start putting it back together soon. It was a non ac truck. I bought a vintage air Gen IV ac system to install.
