Title: Why doesn’t this line up?

Anyone with a little OCD, this would bother you. Should I put both legs on the steering column and give a good shove? Probably not..

I'm guessing you mean the pointer with the letters?

There is a wire that connects the pointer to the column by way of a small clip on the right hand side.  It has probably moved.  I think if you remove the lower trim portion of the column you can see it and adjust it by just moving it ever so slightly.

You may achieve limited lateral adjustment by loosening the two, column mounting nuts below the dash and/or the column mount at the firewall.

No, where the column meets the bezel.

Is the bezel the correct one and properly seated?

I believe it’s the original, but good point, will check that first, thanks.
