Power window and lock conversion.
« on: May 08, 2017, 12:58:29 PM »
I've got a 77 K10 Custom Deluxe and I bought an 83 Silverado parts truck. I'm considering swapping the power doors over to the 77 but I have a few questions.

1. Where do the wiring harnesses for the doors in hook??? I traced the wires as far as I could in search for a connector and can't find one. Finally I just un hooked the wires inside the door at the window motor and the lock actuator. It was a pain trying to fish all the wire out of the door and no doubt it will be worse to put it back. Where am I going wrong?

2. IF I do want to convert the 77, where do I tap into the 77 harness and how big of a job is it, considering the harness (best I can tell) seems to be hard wired into the truck with no quick plugs.

They connect to the intermediate harness, fuse panel & cab ground. Otherwise disconnect the connectors.
