New Wheels for Old Blazer - Suggestions as to where to shop?

Hi everyone,

Long time since I posted here, sold my last classic truck a few years ago.  Looking to buy my next new old Blazer or Jimmy.

If and when I do get one, does anyone have any recommendations as to where to shop for some nice wheels?  The 1978 Blazer I'm looking at right now has stock running gear, so 6-bolt wheels.  ALL my past trucks had 3/4 and 1-ton axles, so they were all 8 lug.  Not really feeling the drive to buy something already running and driving with half-ton running gear so figured I would just upgrade to some nice looking wheels for the factory axles already under the truck.

Thanks for  the link, they look like they do a great job of helping people get awesome vintage wheels.

I'm leaning towards old-school slotted mags, but I'm also open to something modern, but has to be chrome or aluminum finish - I don't like dark wheels.  Seems like when you have dark wheels, the entire picture of dark wheels and black tires just seems to blur into one big round thing.

Hated the black wheels on my last truck.

Much preferred the brighter look for wheels and miss the BBC Jimmy

Experienced insight from wheel gurus appreciated...

I want to run 40" to 44" Super Swampers - so how wide should the rims be?

7" - 8" - 9" - 10" or wider?

These are only 7" wide - my guess is too narrow for huge tires.  Seller says they came off his 1972 Blazer

These look like they might work but 2 different sizes

I'm guessing the center hole is to small for C10 rims

I would think 8" wide wheels. I am old school and use the term wheels instead of rims. Rims is what the Rally Wheels have, the beauty rims. Then of course tires and some call them wheels.

Sent people at both links messages and they replied -- they don't sell wheels, just repair, repaint and perfect them.

Still looking.

Check these out,

U.S. Mags Indy U101 Polished Wheels U10115008335

Wheel, Indy U101
Aluminum
Polished
15 in. x 10 in
6 x 5.50 inch Bolt Circle
3.50 inch Backspace

Does the collective wisdom of 73-87ChevyTrucks.com agree these will fit a 1978 Chevy K5 Blazer with no issues?

Looking at some 40" Swampers for the rims.

Yep as long as they're stock axles. Why the bowling ball tires though?

I guess it's what I like.  I see people buying new Corvettes, new Ford Platinum F150s, new Hondas, etc.  Those types of cars aren't for me, but as long as the people buying them work and pay their taxes, after the government takes their share they can do what they want with the rest.

I never needed a full race, record holding Sanger Drag boat but I worked for it.  Paid my taxes and with what is left - that's what I liked.  I have friends that have canoes - that's what they like.

Free country and all... or supposed to be.
