Courtesy lights and dash bracket
« on: July 21, 2021, 08:31:14 PM »
Hi, working on putting in electrical and realize I didn't take the right pictures.

1) I've got a new wiring harness for my 1980 k20. It comes with two courtesy lights. Where do people usually mount these?

2) I believe there's a bracket to stabilize the dash. It would attach to the middle of firewall and run down to the dash. I've put in a picture. I'm sure I've got it somewhere in the boxes but it would help to see one for me in my search through boxes of parts.

I would really appreciate a picture or description.

Thanks!
Mark

To the right of the ash tray is the under dash courtesy lamp. the other is over your head near the back window. There are two dash support brackets. I'll see if I can grab some pix for you.

Thanks! I just figured the courtesy lights out. The kit comes with two lights, so I had to drill new mounting holes, left and right side near the doors. No need for a picture.

I believe the missing bracket is at the painters as he painted it. Will pick it up tomorrow and post a picture.

Thanks!
