Removing Bluing
« on: August 03, 2021, 07:28:00 PM »
Hi All,

My 1976 K-10 Stepside was in need of a bed refresh. So, we just welded in new stainless steel angles, but there is some bluing that has to be removed.

Any ideas on how and any products that can be recomended for the job?

Thanks in advance.

R.

Got pics? Is it a stepside? Bluing can be polished out and there are products on the market to help.

Maybe the picture angle is throwing me off but is that "bluing' on the interior bedside?  They were painted from the factory body color...

Thank you for your reply. The Bluing did come off! All it took was a buffing  wheel on a drill, some polish and a little elbow grease and viola nice shiny stainless steel! Thanks for all your help
